About the School

The School of Business and Economics at Pwani University, established in January 2017, is committed to excellence in teaching, research and professional development in business, economics, hospitality and tourism. The School offers innovative, market-driven academic programmes that integrate business, economic, technical and social sciences to equip students with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to thrive in a dynamic global economy. Through its two departments, the Department of Business Management and Economics and the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, the School provides a wide range of Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral and professional development programmes. With teaching and learning activities conducted at the University's Main Campus in Kilifi and Mombasa Learning Centre, the School promotes a student-centred learning environment that combines academic excellence, practical experience and research. It maintains strong collaborations with public and private sector organisations to enhance innovation, strengthen industry linkages and improve graduate employability.
